Did you know that Seminole County contributes ZERO dollars to high school athletic teams? Did you know that our student-athletes and coaches spend an inordinate amount of time fundraising to pay for uniforms, equipment, and officials? As the new school year is about to begin, it is time to join the Lyman High School Athletic Booster Club. The Athletic Booster Club’s purpose is to support all of the athletic teams and facilities at Lyman. Recent Booster Club support includes the purchase of video software and related laptop for the football team, assisting with funding to complete the baseball batting cage building, a state of the art batting cage for the girl’s softball team, new water polo goals, new tennis nets, boys and girls home basketball uniforms, fitness room equipment, and travel support for our Regional Champion boys soccer team. These are just a few of the many projects possible if YOU get involved with Lyman Athletics.
To join, you may complete and mail the enclosed membership application, visit our table at Orientation on August 13, or pull the membership form from our website, www.LymanBoosters.com, and either mail or drop it off at the Athletic office. This year’s Booster memberships include access to the reserved seats and preferred parking at home varsity football games!
The Booster Club, which also runs the Klothing Kennel for all of your Greyhound apparel needs, will be onsite for Orientation on August 13. Stop by and see us.
Finally, the Boosters will also be hosting our Greyhound football team’s Blue and Gold game on Friday, August 22. Tickets are just $6 each and that includes a meal!
